LARAMIE, Wyo. (July 24, 2024) – The Mountain West Conference announced its 2023-24 Scholar-Athlete Team on Wednesday. The University of Wyoming had 125 student-athletes recognized. The Wyoming women's swimming and diving team led the way with 23 honorees. The remaining 102 Cowboys and Cowgirls included 15 from women’s soccer. Both the football and women’s cross-country teams had 13 representatives. Women’s track and field had 12 student-athletes with women’s basketball right behind at 10. Others included nine from men’s cross country, eight from volleyball, five from women’s golf and four from men’s golf with two from tennis and three from men’s basketball In order to qualify, the individual must have completed two semesters or three quarters at their school and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
