BREAKING: UW Rodeo Alumnus Dylan Grant Passes Away in Tragic Bull Riding Accident

LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Dylan Grant, an alumnus of the University of Wyoming Rodeo Team, tragically lost his life in a bull riding accident Thursday night at the Wharton County Youth Fair Extreme Bulls event in Wharton, Texas.

Grant graduated from UW in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education Teaching. He had made a name for himself as a skilled bull rider and was respected by his peers in the rodeo community.

According to a Facebook post by Kendra Santos, the accident occurred when Grant was stepped on during the event. Emergency medical personnel immediately attended to him at the scene, providing treatment in the ambulance before he was airlifted to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston. Despite their efforts, Grant was later pronounced deceased.

Grant was from Pavillion, Wyoming.
