Multiple sources have confirmed that Wyoming's starting quarterback Andrew Peasley will not play today due to an injury. Backup Evan Svoboda will be the starting quarterback per sources. After transferring from Snow Community College, Evan is in his second year at Wyoming and has played in several formations. He also played one-quarter last weekend against Portland State. Svoboda did not throw a pass during the quarter that he played. Peasley has led the Cowboys to a hot 2-0 start, including a big upset against Texas Tech in Week one. Peasley also had a career-high three touchdown passes against Portland State in Week two. Peasley has passed the ball 50 times for 29 completions for 350 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception in 2023.
