About the Air Force Falcons:
The Falcons (1-2 overall, 0-1 Mountain West) are coming off an open date after losing back-
to-back games to San Jose State (17-7) and Baylor (31-3). Air Force opened the season with a 17-7 victory over FCS Merrimack.
Defensively, the Falcons rank 40th in the FBS in points allowed (18.0 ppg) and 61st in yards
allowed (335.7 ypg). Air Force is averaging 167.3 yards rushing (64th), 50 yards passing (134th) and 10.3 points (132nd) through three games.
Cade Harris, a senior wide receiver, leads the team in rushing with 132 yards and three
touchdowns. Junior quarterback John Busha, a 6-2 junior, is 13-for-39 (33.3%) passing for 125 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions.
Air Force leads the all-time series with Wyoming 31-27-3, including a 34-27 victory in last year’s MW opener at the Academy. The Falcons have lost their last four games at War Memorial Stadium and are seeking their first victory in Laramie since a 28-27 win in 2012.

About Air Force Head Coach Troy Calhoun:
Calhoun is in his 18th season as Air Force’s head coach after replacing Fisher DeBerry, the coach he played for, in 2007. Over his previous four full seasons on the sideline, not counting the 2020 campaign when the Falcons only played six games during the pandemic, Calhoun’s teams went 40-12 (.769) with a 4-0 bowl record.
Air Force is 9-7 against Wyoming under Calhoun, who had a 2-0 record against Joe Glenn (2007-08), a 3-2 record against Dave Christensen (2009-13), and a 4-5 record against Craig Bohl (2014-23). The Falcons canceled their scheduled trip to Laramie in 2020.
Before taking over the program at his alma mater, Calhoun was an NFL assistant with the
Houston Texas (2006) under Gary Kubiak and the Denver Broncos (2003-05) under Mike Shanahan. He started his coaching career as an Air Force graduate assistant (1989-90) and full-time assistant (1993-94) before stops at Ohio (1995-2000) and Wake Forest (2001-02).
