FORT COLLINS, Colorado (9/17/24) – The University of Wyoming men's golf team participated in Rounds 1 and 2 of the Ram Masters Invite on Tuesday at the Fort Collins Country Club. The Cowboys sit in 12th place as a team at 14-over.

"The scores feel worse than the day was," head coach Joe Jensen said. "For the most part, I saw many, many good things. For whatever reason we just weren't tidy. We didn't putt well at all and that contributed to how we played."

Utah Tech leads at 13-under, while Colorado and Colorado State are tied for second at 9-under. Valparaiso's Anthony Delisante is atop the leaderboard at 130 (-10).

Kristof Panke paced the Pokes, as he's positioned in a tie for 47th place. He rebounded after an opening-round 75 (+5) to shoot a second-round 69 (-2). Panke's second 18 featured six birdies.

Patrick Azevedo also struggled early on en route to sitting in a tie for 56th. He carded a 74 (+4) in Round 1 and bounced back with a 70 (even) in Round 2.

Damon Vilkauskas was the inverse of Panke and Azevedo. He got out of the gates quickly, firing a first-round score of 68 (-2) that was littered with a quartet of birdies. Vilkauskas unfortunately closed with a 77 (+7) and is tied for 60th.

Brody Leid recorded matching 73s (+3). That puts him in a tie for 65th.

Ethan Smith, who's playing as an individual, is tied for 65th, as well. He opened with a 71 (+1) and closed with a 75 (+5).

Davis Seybert, who's the other Cowboy competing as an individual, opened his tournament in rocky fashion with a 76 (+6). He finished up Day 1 in much better form, carding a 71 (+1) and is tied for 71st.

Jaren Calkins rounds out Wyoming's golfers. He's currently in a tie for 73rd place. Calkins registered an opening-round 75 (+5) and finished up Tuesday with a 73 (+3).

"I want to put away today and go in to tomorrow and organically have a nice last round," Jensen said.

Players will complete the final 18 holes Wednesday.
