In a frustrating turn of events, the University of Wyoming football team not only faced a tough 24-14 loss to the San Jose State Spartans on Saturday but also discovered that some of their personal belongings were stolen from the visiting locker room, according to a report by NBC Bay Area News.
In the report, San Jose State University (SJSU) police confirmed that ten Wyoming players reported missing personal items and sports gear after the game. No specifics were given regarding what was stolen. Surveillance footage is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
An attempt to reach UW Athletics Media Relations was unanswered this morning.
A message has been left for SJSU PD, but as of the publication of this article, no call has been returned.
Wyoming head football coach Jay Sawvel will have his weekly press conference at Noon today, so there's no doubt he will likely comment on the situation.
Sources we spoke with were not victims.
