At the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR), the University of Wyoming Rodeo Team has showcased a mix of steady performances and standout efforts across various events. Colton Farrow, competing in bareback riding, posted scores of 63.5 and 67.5, totaling 131.0 points so far and currently ranked 26th. In tie-down roping, Bodie Mattson sits at 32nd place after an 11.6-second run in his first go-round. Steer wrestler Kaden Berger stands out in 7th place, clocking a swift 5.7-second time in his third go-round. The team's efforts are bolstered by competitors like Kenna McNeill in barrel racing and Landry Haugen in breakaway roping, each aiming to climb the ranks as the competition progresses. Below are the standings as of June 11th.
Bareback Riding
Colton Farrow: Over his two qualifying rounds, Colton posted scores of 63.5 and 67.5, leading to a total score of 131.0. Farrow still has another opportunity in the third go-round. He is currently ranked 26th.
Bull Riding
Emmit Ty Ross: Ross has had some bad luck so far. He does have another opportunity in the third go-round.
Tie-Down Roping
Bodie Mattson: Currently ranked in 32nd place in a highly competitive field. Bodie demonstrated his roping expertise with a score of 11.6 seconds in his first go-round, and a “no score” in the second go-round. Mattson has another opportunity in the third go-round.
Steer Wrestling
Kaden Berger: He posted solid performances throughout the rounds, securing a time of 7.2 seconds in his first go-round and 5.7 seconds in his third go-round. Kaden achieved a total of 12.9 seconds, earning him 40 points in the competition. Berger is ranked 7th.
David Gallagher: Achieved a time of 4.7 seconds in his first go-round and 9.8 seconds in his second go-round. With a combined effort, David secured a total time of 14.5 seconds, earning him 65 points in the competition. David still has another opportunity in the third go-round.
Cam Jensen: Posted a solid time of 4.5 seconds in his second go-round. Although he did not score in the first go-round, his performance in the second round contributed significantly to UWY's overall standings. Jensen has another opportunity in the third go-round.
Barrell Racing
Kenna McNeill: She delivered consistent performances in both runs, recording times of 14.45 seconds each. With total of 28.90 seconds, Kenna is currently in 26th position among the competitors. She has another opportunity in the third go-round.
Breakaway Roping
Landry Haugen: Had an impressive time of 2.8 seconds in her third go-round. Although she had “no scores” in the first and second go, her performance in the third go-round earned her 11th place among the competitors.
Olivia Lay: Achieved a total time of 5.7 seconds, securing a 20th-place ranking. Lay's consistent performance included a 3.5-second run in the first go-round and an impressive 2.2-second run in the second go-round. Lay still has another opportunity in the third go-round.
Jordyn McNamee: Delivered a solid performance in breakaway roping with a total time of 6.6 seconds, earning a 23rd-place ranking. McNamee's runs included a 3.5-second time in the first go-round and a 3.1-second time in the second go-round. McNamee still has another opportunity in the third go.
Goat Tying
Riata Day: Currently 17th place in the rankings. Her runs included a 6.1-second time in the first go-round and a 7.5-second finish in the second go-round, resulting in a total time of 13.6 seconds. Riata still has another opportunity in the third go-round.
Team Roping
Weston Mills: Mills completed his first go-round with a time of 6.4 seconds, placing him tied at 22nd position. Weston still has another opportunity in the third go-round.
Quincy Reynolds: Reynolds achieved a time of 7.4 seconds in his second go-round, placing him tied at 23rd position. Quincy still has another opportunity in the third go-round.
Bodie Mattson: Mattson posted a time of 13.0 seconds in the first go-round, placing him tied at 33rd position. Unfortunately, he had “no score” in the second go-round. Bodie still has another opportunity in the third go-round.
Rio Nutter: Nutter recorded a time of 15.6 seconds in the second go-round, placing him tied at 34th position. Nutter posted a “no score” in the first go-round. Rio still has another opportunity in the third go-round.
The next live performance will be tonight at the Casper Events Center in Casper, Wyoming. The action starts at 7 PM. The performance will also be streamed live on EPSN Plus and ESPN 3.
