Casper, WY - The University of Wyoming Rodeo Team showcased their exceptional talent and dedication at the recent College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR), held at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper June 11th-17th. I have listed the results below:
Bareback:
- Donny Proffit, rode for the brand, securing the 6th position overall with scores of 76, 75.5, 79, and 78.5 earning a total of 309 points. Participated in Saturday's championship round.
- Brice Patterson ended up in 23rd place with scores of 75.5 in the first and third goes, earning a total of 151 points.
Tie Down Roping:
- Bodie Mattson showcased exceptional skills, securing the 4th position with scores of 10.1, 8.4, 9.9, and 11.1, accumulating a total of 39.5 points. Participated in Saturday's championship round.
- Cam Jensen earned a score of 19.8 seconds in go-round 1, but failed to make times in go-rounds 2 and 3. Jensen ended up in 40th place.
Steer Wrestling:
- Jacob Wang showed determination, scoring 7.5 and 5.3 in the second and third go-rounds, respectively, accumulating a total of 12.8 points ending in 18th place
Team Roping:
- Cam Jensen demonstrated his expertise, earning a score of 24 points in the event finishing in 10th place overall. Participated in Saturday's championship round.
- Bodie Mattson with a score of 16.5 in the event ended in 14th place.
- Rio Nutter with a score of 19.1 in the event falling to 17th place.
Barrel Racing:
- Emme Norsworthy secured the 5th position with scores of 14.35, 13.96, 14.28, and 14.38, accumulating a total of 56.97 seconds. Participated in Saturday's championship round.
- Sage Kohr earned a total of 52.83 seconds, landing herself in 39th place.
Breakaway Roping:
- Sage Kohr displayed determination with a score of 3.1 in go round 2, but had no scores in go rounds 1 and 3. Kohr finished 41st overall.
Goat Tying:
- Kenna McNeill secured the 3rd overall position with scores of 6.3, 6.5, 5.8, and 6.2, accumulating an impressive total of 182.5 seconds. Participated in Saturday's championship round.
- Faith Hoffman had an aggregate average time of 22.7 seconds landing her the 27th position.
The Men's team ended the event in 12th place overall with 345 points, while the Women's team finished in 3rd place overall with 382.5 points. The University of Wyoming Rodeo Team's performances at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) demonstrate their grit, hard work, and dedication to the sport.
