Wyoming Volleyball to Forfeit Upcoming Match Against San José State

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Nov. 9, 2024) – The University of Wyoming Cowgirl Volleyball team has elected to not play their match against at San José State University set for Thursday, Nov. 14th. This will be the second time this season the Cowgirls have declined to play a match against SJSU. The previous cancellation was for a match that was set for Saturday, Oct. 5th in Laramie. Although the University of Wyoming has been quiet about their reasons, it's not a secret that SJSU redshirt junior Blaire Fleming, a transgender volleyball player has made made national news.


Per ABC News: Southern Utah, Boise State, Wyoming, Utah State and Nevada have forfeited matches against SJSU this year.

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Nov. 9, 2024) –The University of Wyoming volleyball team will not play its scheduled conference match at San José State University on Thursday, November 14. Per Mountain West Conference policy, the Conference will record the match as a forfeit and a loss for Wyoming. 

 

The Cowgirls will play at Fresno State on Saturday, November 16 at 2 p.m.
