LARAMIE, Wyoming (2/23/25) – The University of Wyoming wrestling team concluded its regular season Sunday. The Pokes hosted the second annual Cowboy Shootout inside the Arena-Auditorium.

It was a combination of brackets and round robins. A total of 14 Cowboys participated in addition to wrestlers from Utah Valley, Northern Colorado and Stanford.

A few Cowboys enjoyed unblemished days. Tyson Charmoli (133), Warren Carr (157), Sloan Swan (165) and Quayin Short (197) all went unbeaten Sunday.

Charmoli went 4-0 with four bonus-point wins. He boasted a pair of technical falls and two major decisions.

Swan and Short each went 3-0. Carr finished his Cowboy career with a 1-0 Sunday.

As a team, Wyoming went a combined 26-17. The tournament was structured so that any wrestlers who needed matches for ranking purposes could go. No Cowboy starters needed bouts, thus none participated.

Those Wyoming starters are focused on the postseason. That begins at the Big 12 Tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from March 8-9.
